Mama Guyo Foundation is a non-profit, charitable organization founded in 2016 by H.E. Alamitu Guyo Jattani – First Lady Marsabit County – to promote and enhance the voice and lives of the vulnerable population in Marsabit County through ideals of motherly care, sharing, and protection as evoked in the word ‘Mama’ which is a Swahili word for Mother. The ideals and spirit of motherhood are what the organization aspires to provide to the poor and disadvantaged children, youths and their groups, women and their groups, elderly, people with disability, and the sickly and minority people in the Marsabit community.
